Rape Aid
ABOUT
In 2013, Winter created and produced RAPE AID, an experiment in theater, activism, and charity designed to confront rape culture head-on and without stigma. Artists were commissioned to create original short plays, monologues, songs, films, and other work for an evening intended to spark conversation around sexual violence and prevention.
Presented as part of New Georges’ Wintry Mix at the New Ohio Theatre, the performance was followed by an all-inclusive dance party, with half of every ticket benefiting Safe Horizon. 50% of every ticket went to Safe Horizons, a New York-based victim assistance organization.
